D.R. PUPPETS' THEATRE
Is proud to present two great Puppet Shows in one evening.
Children have seen it at many festivals, as well as in schools, day care
centers, and libraries.
First part FUN PUPPETS - consists of comedy sketches
where different kinds of puppets are introduced to kids: marionettes, hand
puppets, lumberjack puppets, and rod puppets. The puppets dance, sing, and
present stories like Cowboy Story and a Russian folk story Petrushka. Fun
Puppets is suitable for children of all ages.
Second part THE SNOW QUEEN is based on Hans Christian
Andersen's famous fairytale. This adventurous story is about a girl who is
rescue her little brother from wicked Snow Queen. It features romantic,
funny, and mysterious characters and events. This production highlight 12 of
3-5 foots rod puppets.
These delightful productions feature original scripts and music. The shows
are directed and performed by Dmitry Rashkin, a professional puppeteer,
originally from Moscow, Russia. Dmitry received his Masters degree in stage
directing of Puppet Theatre from the State University of Theatrical Arts.
For 12 years Dmitry performed approximately 220 shows a year with a
professional touring company in Moscow, Russia. Seventeen years ago, Mr.
Rashkin emigrated from the Soviet Union to the United States and since then,
he has entertained children and adults all over USA. In the last 30 years,
Dmitry's productions have been seen by over an 800,000 kids in USA and
Russia!
