Dear Friends,
Little Blue Moon Theatre will be performing at the Great Small Works Toy Theatre Festival in New York next weekend, and upon our return we hope you can join us at Cafe Society in Napa (June 17, 8:00 pm) for a wonderful, artistic collaboration with accordionist Steve Ventrello, when we will perform "Natalie" (our Oh-so-French toy theatre piece), "Tango for Tarzan" (our Oh-so-Tarzan-and-Jane-with-a-twist toy theatre piece) and our newest, latest and greatest, "Cirque du Cafe," a table top circus the likes of which you have only dreamed of! Below are the scheduled acts for Cirque du Cafe, and below that is a copy of the Cafe Society press release with all of the details about how to reserve. Act quickly, as only about 40 can fit and there are thousands on the various mailing lists.
Hope to see you there!

Cirque Du Cafe:
Little Blue Moon debuts at Café Society

NAPA, CALIFORNIA - Little Blue Moon puppeteers will come to Café Society for the first time Friday, June 17 for an evening of fun, glamour and sexy theater. Joined by Steve Ventrello on accordion, the Little Blue Moon puppeteers will take you on a journey to Paris, the jungle, and to the circus! Doors and an optional Prix Fixe dinner ($17) are at 7pm; Performance ($20 w/2 drink minimum) begins at 8pm (Please note, only 18 and older will be admitted).

Two toy theater pieces will be performed. The first, Natalie, is about a street puppeteer in Paris. One hot day she removes all of her clothes inside her puppet stage only to find all revealed in a sudden gust of wind. This unexpected event changes her life, bringing fame, fortune and love her way. The second, Tango for Tarzan, is a jungle adventure fantasy that takes place inside a museum diorama. Steve Ventrello, a regular Saturday night performer at Café Society, will accompany both performances on accordion.

Rumor has it that a surprise act will be appearing as well: Cirque du Café: a remarkable and astounding table-top circus where the performers are not what they seem nor what you would expect! A world premier and the Cirque's grand opening!

Toy Theater is among the smallest forms of theater. Dating from the 1800s, these tiny shows were popular parlor entertainment in Europe. Little Blue Moon Theater presents original toy theater productions for adults. They are headlining this year at the Great Small Works Toy Theater Festival in June in New York City, and the International Toy Theatre Festival in Preetz, Germany in September. In print, their work has been featured in Puppetry International and Toy Theatre at Fishmarket, a toy theatre internet magazine originating in Holland.

Café Society is an authentic French bistro and retail store by day and an intimate cabaret style venue by night. Audiences can enjoy authentic bistro food paired with French wines, Belgian Beers, Italian espresso, Parisian hot chocolate and a selection of specialty beverages. The Café Society store is constantly evolving with a rotation of fine European antiques, lighting, gifts and jewelry assembled from shopping trips to France and Italy by store proprietors and award winning interior designers Joan and Steve Osburn.
