On Saturday, April 23, the San Leandro Public Library and the Puppetry Guild are uniting once again to bring the public out 2nd annual Day of Puppetry. Penny Peck of the library has arranged for the guild to have the majority of the library made available to us for workshops, raffles, performaces, and a store. In return, the guild will give one free to the public performance at 1:00. The guild will then sponsor another performance at 3:00 where we will sell tickets for $3 apiece to theatergoers. Festivities will include 2 puppet performances, the store, raffle, and exhibit, as well as workshops on marionettes, video, group performances and simple puppets for children. Your guild committee of Randal Metz, Mary Decker, Kevin Menegus, Michael Burroughs, Tim Guigni and Elisheva Hart have been hard at work planning the details. It is sure to be a great day!
