Sarvodaya is Sanskrit for "Awakening of All." The Sarvodaya Movement has pledged to take in and provide for all children aged 11 and below who were orphaned by the tsunami disaster. In addition Sarvodaya will care for all women and girls below the age of 19. More information about this committed 47 year old organization can be attained at www.sarvodaya.org. Please help us help us this organization.

The Sierra Waldorf School's puppetry program was developed 9 years old by puppeteer Jennifer Aguirre. Each of the eight grades, within a block period of time, makes a different style of puppet and then presents a puppet show of a story that either compliments or is drawn directly out of the particular grade's curriculum. The story of the Ramayana is part of a Waldorf School's 5th grade class ancient history studies. It is an epic ancient Hindu tale of good prevailing over evil and the love story of Rama and Sita. It is a story well known throughout India as well as Southeast Asia. Traditionally the Ramayana is performed with shadow puppets in Southern India and within the story a battle takes place on the island of Lanka. Given the recent tsunami disaster it felt like a timely gift to offer this grade's performance to a wider community as a fundraiser benefit. The student's of class 5 are quite excited about this offering.

If you are unable to attend and would like to donate to this organization and this fundraising benefit, please make your checks out to
