Combining Lovecraftian horror, World mythology, drunken debauchery and foam-rubber parodies of other local acts, Shadow Circus has garnered both praise and loathing from the San Francisco art scene. On Friday, August 20th they commandeer the stage at Café Du Nord to repeat their performance of ‘The Cat in the Hatchet’; a chilling tale of Doctor Seuss rhymes, bloodthirsty faeries and children’s books gone horribly horribly WRONG!
And if that doesn’t excite the thrill-seeking masochist in you, the headlining act that follows is none other than the DRESDEN DOLLS! That’s right folks, Boston’s harbingers of punk-cabaret have taken their wicked little caravan all the way to San Francisco! With the combined forces of these two nefarious acts, will our poor little town of San Francisco survive?
