The performances

This is toy theatre at its best!
The players are made of paper and move across a tiny stage, with songs and text presented by live performers.
The performances are tasteful but do have adult themes and therefore you must be at least 18 years of age to attend.

NATALIE -A street puppeteer in Paris takes off her clothes inside her puppet booth on a hot summer day. No one can see her. That is, no one can see her until a strong gust of wind blows away her stage, puppets and all of her clothes, starting her off on an adventure to fame, fortune and love. (contains puppet nudity and adult situations.)

THE LADY OR THE TIGER - An ancient king has an unusual system of justice. Open one door in the arena and there is a lady. Open the other and there is a ravenous tiger. Which will it be? The lady or the tiger? (Similar to but not exactly the version you read in high school English class! Contains adult humor, some very scanty outfits and a somewhat dangerous tiger.)

TANGO FOR TARZAN -A young woman longs for a life of adventure when she suddenly finds it in the most unlikely place, a natural history museum diorama that magically becomes another world filled with evil, good, and a wild and erotic romp with a handsome ‘Ape Man’ among the rhinos. (Contains puppet nudity, adult situations and implied sex.)

CELEBRITY KAMA SUTRA -If you have ever read this ancient sex manual you have perhaps scratched your head and said to yourself, “It must be possible if they describe it here, but I’m darned if I can figure it out!” Well, now finally there is help. Let our tiny celebrity volunteers show you step by step how to achieve some of the most advanced and difficult positions using the actual instructions translated by Sir Richard Burton. Presented as an educational, public service for the community. (Contains probable puppet nudity, and some very adult situations.)

A minimum $35 donation is requested. Larger donations are greatly appreciated and will secure better seats, with the top donator receiving a gift package from wild swan aphrodisiacs.

Seeing is not necessarily believing when it comes to "black light" theatre, but the National Black light Theatre of Prague elevates the art to such heights that you will question what is real and what is illusion. In their premiere Marin Center performance and only Bay Area appearance, the National Black Light Thatre of Prague brings their all-new production of Fantasy Travellers, inspired loosely by Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland and Jonathon Swift's Gulliver's Travels. Using black-on-black tricks to fool the human eye, actors appear to fly, shrink or even disappear in full view of the audience. The actor's performances are linked to widescreen projections, oversized puppets, black light animation, computer generated effects and fantastic magical tricks. Perfect for the entire family.

Major Exhibit of Magical Moonshine Puppets at Napa Library :: July 07, 2004.

This comes from fellow SFBAPG members, Michael and Valerie Nelson:

>
> PUPPET EXHIBIT AT NAPA LIBRARY SPANS 25 YEARS
>
> Dear all,
> I just finished mounting a major exhibit of MMTheatre's puppet art at the Napa City County Library on Division St in Napa. It will be up for July and August. I think it looks fantastic and has over 50 puppets spanning 25 years of puppet building, from marionettes from our very first show, up to the giant goddesses that I made for last year's Napa Valley Shakespeare Festival's Tempest. If you want to see what I have been doing for the last 2 1/2 decades, please pop in and give a look. And please encourage anyone you think would be interested to go. Admission is, of course, free. Types of puppets exhibited include marionettes, rod puppets, table top puppets, hand puppets, shadow puppets, giant puppets, and masks.
>
> In addition to my artistic efforts, the wonderful, creative talents of many who have assisted me over the years are also represented (to name a few: Bill Briwa, Marie Ferrini, Kamela Portuges, Lee Armstrong, Mike Wick, Sharon Hartman, John Simpkins, Kerry Forbes, and of course, Valerie and Benjie Nelson).
>
> PLEASE FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO ANYONE YOU WISH. I'd hate to think my 40 plus hours mounting this exhibit were in vain.
>
> My best to you all,
> Michael
