Stanford Lively Arts extends a special offer for you to attend Igor
Stravinsky's The Firebird with puppetry by Robin Walsh.
Robin Walsh is a performer and designer who has built everything from
sock puppets to Hollywood movie monsters. Her diverse performances
range from Team America: World Police, Men in Black and Graveyard
Jamboree to The Book of Pooh and Bear in the Big, Blue House. She has
studied and performed with master marionettist Albrecht Roser, and
explores Tai Chi in her search for an artistic/technicality unity.
The Firebird will be performed at Stanford's Dinkelspiel Auditorium
on Saturday, March 8 at 8:00pm and Sunday, March 9 at 2:30pm. The
performances are part of The Stravinsky Project, a four-day
celebration of the composer's 125th birth, and features pianist
Alexander Toradze, the Toradze Studio pianists, and author-historian
Joseph Horowitz.
Puppeteers receive 10% off online ticket orders with discount code
"MARCH". Tickets are available online, by phone, or at the Stanford
Ticket Office in Tressider Union.
