Dear SFBAPG members,

Roger Mara (Snapdragon Puppets) was a member of the SFBAPG for many
years and a generous contributor of his time and talents.
This email brings very sad news: On December 11, he was diagnosed
with stomach cancer, and on Monday, January 15, he died at the age of
53. Roger's passing is a great loss to the world of puppetry.

Roger spent many years living and performing in California and then
moved to the Seattle area about five or so years ago. Over the years,
he performed at several festivals for the Pacific Southwest and
Pacific Northwest regions, including the 2002 fest at Asilomar, CA
and the recent 2006 festival in Tacoma, WA.

One of the most painful aspects of Roger's passing is that there is
very little film or video footage of his wonderful puppet
performances. If you have any video or film footage, please contact
