Hi everybody,
I'm talking with the good folks at Gentle Giant about manufacturing
my toy.
The folks have Super 7 have hooked me up with a distributor who can
move a lot of toys, so I feel more confident making my original run
bigger than I'd first thought (I was only going to do about 200 pieces).
Now I'm pretty sure I'm going to order about 500 of them, but I'm
curious to see if I should order even more. I mean, my sculptor
alone wants TEN of them.
I'm going to set up a sign-up sheet outside my office (upper west,
705) - If you're interested in buying one (or more), please sign up!
The toy is based on my beaver T-shirt design that I sold at last
summer's Comic-Con. It's going to be vinyl, about 5" tall, and come
in its own custom (though not very fancy) box. I'm aiming to price
it in the $40-$50 range. I'll have a better idea when I do the math
on the production costs. My deadline is to have it ready by Comic-
Con 2007.
Feel free to pass this on to friends that you think may be
interested. They can e-mail me, but if you work here, I'd prefer you
to sign up so I have to wrangle as few e-mails as possible.
Thanks!
Jeff
PS - if you need to see an image, let me know and I'll e-mail you
something.
PPS - I'm making these for adult collectors, so I wouldn't recommend
them for little kids.
