REGISTER NOW FOR THE BI-REGIONAL PACIFIC NORTHWEST / PACIFIC SOUTHWEST PUPPETRY FESTIVAL!
Where: University of Puget Sound (near Tacoma, WA)
When: August 4-7, 2006
It is exciting to attend a regional festival. BUT it's even more exciting to attend a festival in the Pacific Northwest. Besides seeing great performances, and enjoying interesting workshops, while you are here, you will be able to take advantage of the many attractions in the area. Here are just a few:
* Mount Rainier can be seen in all it's glory and is near enough for a side trip.
* A visit to Mt. St. Helens, a few miles south of Tacoma/Seattle, provides a fascinating picture of the awesome volcanic eruption of a few years ago.
* Ferry rides can take you to the Olympic Peninsula and the rain forest.
* In several hours you can be in Canada, Victoria by Victoria Clipper or Vancouver by train, bus, or car.
* Tacoma's Pt. Defiance Park has both an Aquarium and a Zoo.
* Tacoma Glass Museum exhibits artist Chihuly's work, among others.
* Tacoma History Museum. Seattle Art Museum. Seattle's Museum of History and Industry.
* World famous Tillicum Village -- Salmon bake, cruise, and show. A glimpse into the culture of the Northwest Coast Native Americans. The boat departs for Blake Island from Pier 55 in Seattle several times a day.
Registration forms and more information are on the web site at www.muchadoaboutpuppets.org
A personal note from Mary Decker: The organizers of this festival need to give a huge deposit to the University very soon. THEY NEED YOUR HELP. Please register now and your money will be used for much needed seed money.
