(Update: I just confirmed that the lecture/demo is happening on Thursday. -Matt)
This message comes from SFBAPG co-president, Randal Metz:

The current Broadway production at the Golden Gate Theatre is "The Little Shop of Horrors." I saw it and it was great. I purchased my tickets through Ticketmaster. Go to http://www.ticketmaster.com/venue/229395. Also, the phone number can be found on Golden Gate theater recording.

Show: Little Shop of Horrors. Featuring puppets made by the Jim Henson workshop. Traditional muppet-like figures, costume figures and giant hydraulic mechanical figures.

Theater: Golden Gate Theater, San Francisco.

Time: 8:00 pm. Thursday, December 2nd

SHOW CLOSES DECEMBER 5th.

SPECIAL EVENT ON THURSDAYS!
Meet puppeteers Michael Latini of Henson Productions and Paul McGinnis from the Los Angeles area. After the Thursday (only) performances, they bring out the plant puppets for all interested theatergoers and answer questions. They are very nice. Rhonda and I got to go backstage after the show and see the figures up close. Quite exceptional. The last mechanical plant is so heavy and large that it's bending the floors of the stage!

Please contact the theater directly to make sure the Thursday lecture/demo is happening. Michael and Paul were almost 98% sure it was happening every Thursday. (They've done it every Thursday so far.) They would love to meet other puppeteers. Just identify yourself.
