> I think a lot of puppeteers would be interested in this wonderful exhibit which opens at the Exploratorium on July 2. Formerly from Convent Garden, London, The Cabaret Mechanical Museum will present 25 large and small automata in its premiere US showing. The wonderful and intricate and funny figures are definitely worth a visit. I mourned their closing at Covent Garden so it was a wonderful surprise to find that they will be here. If you like mechanisms and unfettered imaginations, do not miss this exhibit. The exhibit will be here until October 3rd. Admission is free after you pay to get into the Exploratorium. Entrance fees range from $8:00 for children 4-12 to $12.00 for adults. Free for Exploratorium Members. Seniors and students are $9.50. Hours are 10-5 Tuesday through Sunday, closed Mondays except for the 4th of July. Call EXP-LORE for more information.
